Acura TLX Service Intervals

To keep on top of the Acura TLX maintenance schedule, consult your owner’s manual for official guidelines. Here is a general list of maintenance your vehicle needs and the Acura TLX service intervals of each:

• Battery Replacements – Replace your battery every three or four years or so. Neglecting to do so will eventually lead to a dead battery.
• Brake Fluid Replacements – Flush and replace brake fluid about every two years.
• Brake Pad Replacements – Plan to have your brakes inspected and brake pads replaced every 30,000 and 60,000 miles. If you hear squeaking when you brake or your brake pedal feels spongy, have the brakes checked right away.
• Coolant Replacements – Flush and replace coolant every two to three years.
• Oil Changes – Change your oil every three to six months or about every 3,000 to 7,500 miles. Confirm this information in your owner’s manual. 
• Tire Replacements – Replace your tires between 25,000 to 50,000 miles to maintain your vehicle’s performance in Waterloo or wherever the road takes you.
• Tire Rotations – Rotate your tires approximately every six months or 7,500 miles.
• Transmission Fluid Replacements – Flush and refill transmission fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles (manual transmissions) or every 60,000 to 100,000 miles (automatic transmissions).
