The Acura Integra is returning in 2022, much to the excitement of car enthusiasts across the country. Originally debuted in 1986, the Acura Integra was advertised as a luxury, sport-centered sedan with powerful performance specs and a range of interior comfort features. After retiring in 2006, the Integra nameplate remained unused until an announcement on August 13th, 2021 revealed that Acura was reintroducing the Integra to its lineup in 2022. While little is known about the all-new 2022 Acura Integra, Acura of Johnston has collected the most relevant information for Cedar Rapids drivers. Read more about the new Acura Integra with our team below, and then, contact our finance department to see when it will be available at our dealership.

2022 Acura Integra: Design

While much of the 2022 Acura Integra design is still unknown, Acura did release an image of its front headlight, rear taillights, and the top half of its body design. These images show us an Integra for a new generation of drivers, complete with sport-centered styling and sharp accents for a truly impressive presence on Waterloo roads. Acura’s Brand Officer, Jon Ikeda, revealed that the 2022 Acura Integra design is “locked-in” and will feature sporty design elements while still being recognizable as an Integra. How many doors will the 2022 Acura Integra have? The Integra will have a “five-door design” according to Acura’s website, meaning this sedan will have enough space for the drivers, their passengers, and some extra cargo.

What to Expect From the New 2022 Integra

The 2022 Acura Integra design is what most Des Moines car enthusiasts are talking about online, but there are some other features drivers will want to know about before the 2022 Acura Integra hits showroom floors. Read more about the 2022 Acura Integra below:

  • The Acura Integra will be known as a budget-friendly “Halo Car” for Acura. A Halo Car is a vehicle that goes out of its way to push the boundaries of technology, styling, and performance that its brand can offer.
  • The Integra will be developed in Japan.
  • The 2022 Acura Integra will debut with two configurations. An additional sport-focused model is expected in the following model year. A hybrid or electric Integra has not been announced at this time, but with many Acura sedans offering a hybrid or EV option, it would not be surprising to see the Integra follow in-suite in future model years.
  • While the Acura Integra will be marketed as an entry-level Acura sports car, it will not replace the Acura ILX model
  • The 2022 Acura Integra will fill the gap in Acura’s lineup as a sport-centered luxury sedan.
