The sportier 2023 Acura Integra may be the new entry-level vehicle in the Acura model lineup. What Will Replace the Acura ILX?
As mentioned above, no official announcements were made, but you can expect the 2023 Acura Integra to replace the Acura ILX. Waterloo area buyers can start placing orders for the much-talked-about 2023 Acura Integra starting March 10. Unfortunately, the luxury automotive brand is still keeping many details a secret, but we know it will feature a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine. You can expect similar output to the 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque offered in the Honda Civic Si sedan.
The upcoming Integra has received the TOP SAFETY PICK+ for 2022! It received the highest possible safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) where it earned a top rating of “GOOD” in all of its crash tests and “SUPERIOR” crash avoidance ratings for the Collision Mitigation Braking System™, which is part of the brand’s AucraWatch™ safety and driver-assistance technology. This is the brand’s fourth model earning this award, joining the TLX, RDX, and MDX who have all been recognized as TSP+.
Why is Acura Getting Rid of The Acura ILX?
The Acura ILX is only getting discontinued in the US. With that said, it hasn’t received any significant upgrades since going on sale in 2013. The luxury automotive brand is making way for the highly anticipated new Integra as the brand’s new entry-level model, which makes sense since it was their entry-level model back in 1986. The Integra will be an excellent vehicle to introduce buyers to the Acura family.
